New Chief Officers took office effective April 1st, 2005.  Their term of office is for 2 years.  We expect many great things in the coming years from our new Officers.  Station Officers were also elected and according to District Chief, Scott Seifert; "The combination of experience, knowledge, youth and desire will make this a great team and I am looking forward to a very productive year."

Fire Chief, Stephen Sharp after 17 years of service has moved to Magnolia, Texas and knowing this did not seek reelection.  We wish him the best of luck and good fishing!

Our new Fire Chief is Mr. Glenn Hastings.  Chief Hastings has served with our department for 14 years and has advanced through the ranks from Captain, Senior Captain, District Chief, and Assistant Chief and now he is accepting the challenge of holding the top spot.  We wish him the best in his new position.

The Spring Volunteer Fire Department is proud to welcome the beginning of Station 76. On June 5, 2004 several members placed the sign in the ground to welcome the arrival of station 76 to the Londonderry Subdivision.  According to Deputy Chief Eric Anderson construction should begin around mid-year. The fire station should be completed and in operation sometime in the last quarter of 2005.  Station 76 will be a three bay station with the design closely reflecting the current station 72. We will keep you up to date with the sate/time of the official ground breaking ceremony. This fire station will improve response times to the north end of Kuykendahl and west to FM 2978 which will provide better service to its surrounding communities.

September 2002

On Wednesday, September 11, 2002 all 5 Spring Volunteer Fire Department fire stations will be open to the public from 6:00pm-9:00pm as we recognize the anniversary of a national tragedy that will never be forgotten.  You will get to meet the volunteers that provide the Fire, Rescue and EMS services in our area when you call 911.

We’ll have refreshments too, so plan on bringing the entire family and get a personal tour of the stations, apparatus, and the equipment we use to protect you and your property every day.

Speak with our volunteers who can tell you why they do what they do.  We will be eagerly awaiting any questions you might have about our fire department.  We even have membership applications for those who would like a rewarding way to contribute to our community.
