Rehab Team
Are
you interested in volunteering for the fire department, but don’t
have a desire to be a fire fighter? There is another option –
Rehab!!!
What is Rehab? - The Rehab Team provides rehabilitation for the
fire fighters while they are on active fire scenes, extended
extrications, and lengthy training events. The Rehab Team provides
water, sports drinks, and snacks to the fire fighters to maintain
their strength and energy during these events. The Rehab Team also
provides cold wash cloths, First Aid, and anything else that the
fire fighters require while on scene. The Rehab Team is stocked
with supplies in their personal vehicles. The Rehab Team also has a
SVFD vehicle that is taken to the scene that is fully stocked and
ready to go at any time, day or night. We stock everything from
drinks and snacks, to bug spray and band-aids. We also provide
educational documentation, stuffed animals, and coloring books to
children affected by fires in our territory.
More opportunities? – The Rehab Team is active with public
education and public relations as well. The Rehab Team Coordinator
is also the Babysitting Education Coordinator and CPR Instructor.
Anyone interested in helping with these educational programs can
work hand-in-hand with the Rehab team for advertisement
opportunities and educational opportunities. Public relations with
the fire department and the community are very important and the
Rehab Team is active in these events as well.
Still want more? - The SVFD presents opportunities to continue
education in the fire field and the medical field. If you are
interested in learning more about fire or EMS, the SVFD provides
opportunities to learn more – with both hands-on activities and with
classroom activities. Education is a priority with the SVFD and we
provide tons of opportunities throughout the year for our members to
learn more and more!

the Spring Volunteer Fire Department, but don’t want to be a fire
fighter, come check out the Rehab Team. You can access the SVFD
